Invisalign® Clear Braces
Ideal for patients needing small orthodontic treatment, Invisalign is rapidly becoming the first choice in orthodontic work for professional adults. From closing gaps to straightening teeth, we can get the work you need quickly, efficiently, and privately. Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners, so no one needs to know that you are having dental work done while wearing them. No metal, no brackets, at Smith Dental, we can enhance your look. Starting with an evaluation, Dr. Smith can create a treatment plan for you.
Only an evaluation can help us determine if Invisalign is right for you. Our patients have received Invisalign for a broad spectrum of teeth placement issues including mild cases of crooked teeth, as well as protruding teeth and gaps. Dr. Smith can help you determine if Invisalign is right for your situation.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a modern take on traditional braces. Instead of the traditional brackets, this system uses clear aligners that are customized to fit your teeth. Each patient receives a series of aligners, with each new aligner gradually shifting their teeth toward the final position. The patient will change to the next aligner in the series every two weeks or so as prescribed by Dr. Smith. Invisalign is most often used for small orthodontic work, and can give you the beautiful smile you want!
At Smith Dental, the Invisalign process begins with an examination, a conversation about your smile goals, and 3D radiographs to fully evaluate your tooth placement. With this information, we can then send clear instructions to a dental lab for fabrication. You will receive a series of molded aligners that begins with your current tooth position and ends with your desired tooth position to wear. The aligners are made of a smooth, BPA-free plastic that will feel comfortable, and won't irritate your cheeks and gums like traditional metal braces are known to do. We will check your aligners regularly for their proper fit and then schedule appointments as needed. Invisalign does not require as frequent of appointments as metal braces do, but for best results patients are asked to wear their aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day, throughout the entire treatment process.
